New directors appointed to Regional Facilities Auckland board

Auckland Council’s Appointments, Performance Review and Value for Money Committee has advised of the appointed of two new directors - Candace Kinser and Jennifer Rolfe - to the board of Regional Facilities Auckland (RFA) at its December meeting.

Advising of the appointments, Auckland Mayor Phil Goff stated “each of the new directors brings significant expertise to their roles (and) their contribution to the governance of Auckland will be valuable as we embark on delivering record levels of infrastructure investment in our city."

Kinser has held a number of senior executive roles as a Chief Executive, corporate advisor and director on private, government and listed boards.

She is a board director for EROAD limited, Livestock Improvement, WEL Networks, Ultrafast Fibre and global technology recruitment company Talent International.

Kinser has previously served as a Director for Quotable Value (QV), Chief Executive of NZTech and Biomatters Ltd and served as a Trustee for health charity organisation the Well Foundation. She has also worked to develop family-owned businesses McCashins Brewing and the Superb Herb Company.

Rolfe is currently a Non-Executive Director of Citycare Limited and the Director and Managing Partner of Auckland-based creative agency, Rainger & Rolfe.

She has 20 years of experience working in digital, brand and loyalty advertising managing some of New Zealand’s biggest and most interesting brands and working in some of the country’s biggest and best advertising agencies.

Rolfe has served on a number of boards including New Zealand Rugby League, Dunedin Venues Management Limited and Cancer Society’s Daffodil Enterprises Limited and has won the New Zealand marketing industry’s Supreme Award twice in 2014 and 2018.

The appointments run until 30th October 2021.

The Council’s Appointments, Performance Review and Value for Money Committee is responsible for all board appointments to substantive council-controlled organisations.
