Auckland Stadiums appoints key new team members

Auckland Stadiums has announced the appointment of two new team members who will meet the needs of hirers, commercial partners, stakeholders and fans in an exciting growth period.

Jamie Greaves has joined as Head of Sales and Marketing from the United Kingdom, where he was working with Southampton FC in the English Premier League.

In this role he looked after Southampton’s national and global partnerships strategy.

He has an extensive background within sport and marketing which has allowed him to maximise the opportunities for the club’s partners while ensuring Southampton FC brought a ‘best in class’ model to integrated partnerships.

Prior to joining Southampton, Greaves spent nearly four years shaping the commercial strategy for SportBusiness Group - a leading international sports insights and data consultancy.

Steve West has been appointed to the role of Head of Facilities.

With 20 years’ experience within the facilities management contracting environment Wests’s focus has been on the commercial success of comprehensive facilities services across client and market sectors that included mining and resources, defence establishments as well as Municipal authorities and government agencies.

Auckland Stadiums Director Paul Nisbet said both roles were vital to ensure the continued development of the organisation and Auckland’s network of venues, support the region’s Venue Development Strategy and to meet the growing demand from users and fans for events at Auckland Stadiums’ venues.
