New distribution arrangements for SKINS Compression products
Australian sportswear brand SKINS has reemerged with new owners and new distribution arrangements.
Having applied for bankruptcy in a Swiss Court in January 2019, the brandwas purchased by Hong Kong-based Symphony Holdings Limited last September, and now Statewide Sports has been appointed as distributors in Australia.
With Statewide Sports to manage the brand’s relaunch, a statement advises “SKINS has a new owner and new goals, focused on providing what you want.
“We’ve been doing our research and listening to what consumers want from SKINS: comfort, cutting edge tech, sustainability. With that in mind we’ve dug deep, persevered and gone back to our innovation roots.
“SKINS blazed the original trail for technical performance compression apparel (and we) are back to continue what we started.”
Explaining Symphony Holdings Limited’s ownership, SKINS Chief Operating Officer, Benjamin Fitzmaurice stated “it is good to be back. The SKINS brand has been acquired by a proactive and forward thinking company and we are looking forward to rolling out some new fabrics and tech in the coming seasons.”
Symphony Holdings Limited is a Hong Kong based company that focuses on brand retail and investment management.
Statewide Sports is an Australian owned and operated business that has been involved in the health and sporting industries in Australia for over 35 years, and with SKINS for 25 of those years.
SKINS products, which will be available both online and in stores, are expected to be available around August as a result of infrastructure work currently underway, shipping lead times and uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
