IAKS ANZ to stage first New Zealand event

IAKS ANZ's growing representation of industry professionals in Australasia will see it stage its first event in New Zealand on Wednesday 28th August.

The IAK ANZ Sports Facility Expert Panel, being held at the Lower Hutt Event Centre, will feature a diverse panel that will explore issue relating to energy efficient design, sustainability and facility investment.

Speakers on the Panel will include:

  • Yvette Audet, IAKS ANZ Chair - Membership and networking benefits of IAKS (the International Association of Sport and Leisure Facilities)

  • Aaron Blyleven, BECA - Energy efficient, future-fit aquatic facilities,

  • Mark Bates, Architecture HDT - Environmental and Sustainability guidelines for Spaces and Places.- Naenae case study

  • Shane Brodie, Sport Waikato Spaces and Places lead - Potential Solutions for financially constrained Councils and the impact on Facilities investment

  • Matt Body, Warren and Mahoney - Coming soon! Te Kaha and Parakiore setting the standard.

The Panel will be followed by post-event networking drinks and an opportunity join in Recreation Aotear0a's annual WAVES quiz evening.

The Panel is being held in advance of Recreation Aotearoa’s annual Waves Conference in Wellington on 29th and 30th August.
