IAKS’ collaboration with the NSC 2024 will also see it present eight dynamic debate sessions at during the event, delving into innovative approaches and insightful discussions tackling the industry's biggest challenges.

Featuring national and international speakers, topics to be addressed include:

  • Can the federated model for sport be maximised?

  • Designing for community wellbeing or participation in sport and recreation activities?

  • Can community impact be achieved by contracting out community aquatic and recreation facilities?

  • Natural Turf v Synthetic Football Turf - which can accommodate the demand?

  • Risky play v safer environments

  • Can global events and sports participation or urban planning principles create active cities and communities?

  • Should the health and wellbeing of all the students be more important than the sporting participation of a few?

  • How best to encourage people who participate the least, to participate more

NSC IAKS 2024 is being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 27th and 28th June.

IAKS is also collaborating with the NSC to present a series of post convention Study Trips in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in late June and early July.
