IAKS ANZ announces new partnership with Australian College of Physical Education

Looking to nurture the next generation of global industry leaders, IAKS ANZ (International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities - Australia and New Zealand) has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE).

Marking a significant step towards fostering continued excellence in knowledge sharing and networking within the sport and recreation industry, the collaboration will see students from ACPE getting involved in creating events and information around various industry sector groups in line with the IAKS global expert circles.

The partnership between IAKS ANZ and ACPE is designed to provide students with unparalleled exposure to international best practices, cutting-edge technologies, and innovative methodologies prevalent in the global sports and leisure sector. Through a comprehensive curriculum, students will gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience in areas such as event management, marketing strategies and facility design.

One of the key highlights of this partnership is the opportunity for students to engage directly with industry leaders, sports planners, leading sports groups and sports architecture firms within Australia. This networking opportunity will not only facilitate knowledge exchange but also open doors to potential career pathways and collaborations.

Announcing the partnership, IAKS ANZ President, Yvett Audet stated “we are excited to embark on this transformative journey with the Australian College of Physical Education.

"By combining our expertise and resources, we aim to empower the next generation of sports and leisure professionals with the skills, knowledge, and connections necessary to drive innovation and excellence in the industry."

Gareth Long, Director of Program Innovation and Development at ACPE, added “this relationship with IAKS ANZ provides an outstanding opportunity for ACPE students to learn from and with Industry leaders, and we look forward to seeing our students apply their bachelor’s degrees in real-world projects.”

Through this collaboration, IAKS ANZ and ACPE are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and sustainability in the sports and leisure sector. Together, they envision a future where young professionals are equipped to address the evolving challenges and opportunities in this dynamic field.
