IAAPA Expo offers new ways to support Give Kids The World

This November, attendees at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Attractions Expo will have multiple opportunities to support charity partner Give Kids The World (GKTW).
Options to support the charity will include playing 18 holes at a scenic Orlando golf club, going hog wild during IAAPA's Motorcycle Ride, getting in touch with their inner Olympian, or visiting the GKTW Village.
Last year, IAAPA raised more than $74,000 for GKTW during IAAPA Attractions Expo and hopes to eclipse that figure this year.
Attendees can also contribute on the trade show floor by entering the GKTW Chance to Win or by donating booth items, such as plush, games, t-shirts and rides.
All profits will benefit GKTW, a storybook resort that provides cost-free dream vacations for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families from around the world.
IAAPA President and Chief Executive Chip Cleary explains "Give Kids The World's mission is based on putting smiles on children's faces, something the attractions industry understands. "Whether golfing, riding, running, or buying a chance to win there are a variety of ways for exhibitors, attendees, and their families and friends to support Give Kids The World at this year's Expo."

10th Annual IAAPA International Charity Golf Tournament

The 18-hole scramble will take place at 8am on Sunday 11th November at Hawk's Landing Golf Club in Orlando. Playing slots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. (Members are encouraged to register early as the event is expected to sell out weeks in advance.)

3rd Annual IAAPA Motorcycle Ride

The motorcycle ride begins at 8am on Sunday 11th November. Registration costs $100 and must be completed by 26th October. Motorcycle rentals are not included in the registration fee but will be available through Orlando Harley Davidson, the ride's start and end point, for $100. Lunch will be served at Hawk's Landing Golf Club.

6th Annual IAAPA Charity 5K Run and 1K Walk, Footprints from The Heart

On Thursday 15th November, participants will run or walk past a Gingerbread House Restaurant, around a Castle of Miracles, and through the Fairy Tale Forest at the GKTW Village. Registration for individual participants is $30, for teams of five (5) or more is US$20 per person.

Registration will be available until Wednesday 14th November online and on site at the Give Kids The World Booth #3234 on the trade show floor. Runners, walkers, and silent participants can now engage their family, friends, and community's support in advance of their participation in this GKTW fundraising event. Special prizes will be awarded to the top individual and top team fundraiser.

GKTW Village Visit

At 2:30pm on Monday 12th November and 8am on Friday 16th November, IAAPA will host a visit to the GKTW Village to show participants how industry donations positively impact the organization. Transportation from the Orange County Convention Center the GKTW Village will be provided. A small donation is requested to attend (US$10 for IAAPA Members, US$20 for nonmembers).

GKTW Chance to Win

From Tuesday 13th November through to Friday 16th November, Expo participants can visit the GKTW Booth #3234 on the trade show floor and enter the GKTW Giveaway for an Orlando experience, which includes round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, a flight simulation ride, a fighter jet experience, and more.
