Hockey Queensland partners with United Sports to enhance player wellbeing and performance

Hockey Queensland has announced a new partnership with United Sports, a leading provider of sports resources and modules to enhance performance and prevent injury across the state.

Through this collaboration, United Sports will provide comprehensive modules covering crucial aspects such as injury risk reduction, performance enhancement, and player health and wellbeing.

Further to these coaching modules, both players and coaches will gain access to United Sports' extensive resources through their Hockey Queensland login.

These include:

  • Over 175 exercise videos promoting affordable, age- and ability-appropriate exercise options for injury risk reduction and components of fitness (strength, speed etc.).

  • Informative blog-style write-ups on an array of topics surrounding fitness, health, recovery and wellbeing.

These resources are tailored to meet the specific needs of hockey players and coaches, ensuring they have the tools necessary to excel on and off the field.

Announcing the partnership, Hockey Queensland Chief Executive, Alison Lyons advised “we are delighted to partner with United Sports to further support the development and wellbeing of our players.

"The expertise and resources they bring to the table will undoubtedly have a positive impact on our members, empowering them to reach new heights in their hockey journey."

One of the key benefits of this partnership is accessibility. Hockey Queensland members will be able to access the United Sports resources through their existing login credentials, streamlining the learning process and making it convenient for players and coaches alike.

These resources will be provided free of charge, underscoring both organisations' commitment to fostering a thriving hockey community.

Initially, three modules will be released, covering fundamental topics essential for player development for junior athletes, masters athletes (aged 34 and above) and female athletes with additional modules set to go live over the coming weeks, offering a comprehensive and evolving resource library for Hockey Queensland members.

United Sports Co-Director, Digby Nield added “we are excited to extend our support and partner with Hockey Queensland.

"Our aim is to empower athletes across different sports with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed, and we believe this partnership will facilitate just that."

United Sports is a leading provider of sports resources and coaching modules, specialising in injury risk reduction, performance enhancement, and player wellbeing. Through collaboration with experts in allied health, United Sports is committed to empowering athletes across various sports to reach their full potential.
