Goodlife Health Clubs partners with True Grit

Goodlife Health Clubs is backing True Grit’s news Night Attack Series of endurance events, signing us as a major partner for the Series.

With the next True Grit Night Attack event set to take place on three consecutive nights at the Adelaide Showground from 1st to 3rd October, True Grit is inviting participants to form teams to be part of the event.

In a statement, True Grit explain “what separates the Night Attack from any other event in Australia is the opportunity to dress up in fluro or glow in the dark attire and go through an obstacle course lit with UV, strobes and coloured spot lighting, smoke machines and the tenacity of a True Grit course.

“True Grit’s official apparel partner 2XU have also designed customised fluro True Grit athletic t-shirts that will glow in the dark under the fluorescent lighting on a number of the obstacles.”

The Adelaide Showground course is 5 kilometres in length and incorporates 17 obstacles.

Numbers for the Night Attack are limited to 1,400 per night with the total number capped at 4,200.

5,000 participants were part of the inaugural True Grit event in May, at the Caudo Vineyard just outside of Waikerie in South Australia.

True Grit’s statement continues “both True Grit and Goodlife Health clubs proudly embody the Australian healthy lifestyle ‘can do attitude’ of ‘having a go’, and ‘letting go of things you can’t change and focusing on the things you can.’

“Goodlife and True Grit obstacle courses are first and foremost about enjoyment, facing a challenge with friends and having a go – thus the synergy of why training and preparation in the supportive and fun environment of Goodlife is a great fit.”

True Grit Managing Director Adam McNamee has described this partnership as great news for the country’s ‘gritters’, stating “Goodlife Health Clubs as an organisation embodies the same values as True Grit as inspiring people to a healthier lifestyle and providing a platform for people to perform at their physical best.

“With the resources and support of a health club like Goodlife, our competitors can feel empowered and ready to conquer the Night Attack events with excellent preparation and encouragement, while having a fabulous time along the way.”

True Grit competitors are also an encouraged to take part in Goodlife’s 12 week fitness challenge whi ch McNamee says is “perfect preparation for anyone daring to try this adventure for their first time.

“I guarantee they won’t look back.”
