Rocky Horror Show fans demand ticket refunds after Craig McLachlan leaves production

Rocky Horror Picture Show fans are demanding ticket refunds following the departure of star Craig McLachlan from the production amid allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour during its past productions.

McLachlan and production company The Gordon Frost Organisation mutually agreed it was inappropriate for the actor to continue in the current production at the Adelaide Festival Centre, with the star currently being replaced by his understudy, Adam Rennie.

A number of cast members and crew from the 2014 Rocky Horror Show production have accused McLachlan of inappropriate behaviour.

While fans are taking to social media to demand refunds, a spokesman for Adelaide Festival Centre ticketing agent BASS said refunds were not likely.

The spokesman advised "BASS operates in accordance with the ticketing code of practice published by Live Performance Australia and the code advises that a patron is not entitled to a refund because of the use of an understudy.”

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is due to finish its Adelaide run on Sunday and then moves to Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne.
