gemba appoints Andrew Condon as General Manager - Sydney
gemba has announced the appointment of Andrew Condon as its General Manager Sydney, with Condon resigning his position as Managing Director M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment, a business he helped found in 2009, to return to gemba where he will work from their growing Sydney office.
Reporting to gemba Director and Chief Executive Rob Mills, Condon will lead the entertainment marketing team at gemba a team that helps many of Australia's biggest and best brands shape, manage and leverage their investments in sport and entertainment.
This team counts Toyota, Coca Cola, Lexus and Telstra among its clients, and was recently appointed by the Federal Government to manage the sponsorship portfolio of the Australian National Preventative Health Agency (ANPHA).
Explaining the appointment, Rob Mills stated "I can't recall being this excited about an appointment during my time here.
"I know I speak for (fellow gemba Directors) Ben, James and Boyd when I say that it feels like we are bringing a member of the family home.
"Andrew has learnt and achieved so much since his first tenure at gemba. He epitomises the 'gemba way' and I know he will provide us with strong leadership in Sydney. He brings with him vast experience of the industry, which will undoubtedly help our brand clients develop and bring to life world class strategies across sport and entertainment."
A delighted Condon added "the vision that the gemba partners have for the business is inspiring, as is the progress that has been made since 2009. The investments gemba makes in insights and intellectual capital and the calibre of its people make it the stand-out business in the industry for me and I can't wait to get started."
