Youth fitness specialists SHOKK open Melbourne facility
Youth fitness specialists SHOKK have opened their first youth facility in the Melbourne suburb of Sunshine.
UK-based SHOKK, whose youth gym franchises tag-on to existing adult facilities, has opened centre site as part of the World Gym complex operated by Workout Workshop.
Membership of the 100metre2 facility will cost around $50 a month and will give members access to SHOKK's full range of resistance and cardiovascular equipment, including the SHOKK X-Bike and SHOKK Fluid Rower, plus several products from SHOKK's Xertain range including dance mats, Vew Do boards and the SHOKK Target Wall.
The centre also offers a café and chill-out facilities.
The new site is the latest in a long line of international developments for SHOKK, with 15 facilities across the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Saudi Arabia, US, Spain, Iceland and now Australia.
This global expansion will continue later this year with the official launch of SHOKK's Guangzhou site in China, which it says will be the worldâs largest standalone youth fitness centre.
SHOKK master franchise holders Workout Workshop now have plans to develop further stand-alone or tag-on sites in Australia's major cities.
