Gecko Kids Fitness refines partnership model
With 35 franchises operating across Australia, children's activity provider Gecko Kids Fitness has refined its partnership model with host facilities.
Founded in 2006, Gecko Gecko Kids Fitness programs are aimed at children aged between five and 14, offering age appropriate activities and equipment, running tracks, circuits, obstacle courses, colours and music - creating an activity environment that children see as their own.
Gecko's proven business model is based on a partnership with eligible facilities that sees the facility provided with up to $10,000 of child-specific fitness equipment; the selection, induction and training of Gecko coaches; creations of sales team and the marketing and launch of the program.
Backed by ongoing support new video programs each week, ongoing training and marketing, management support (Gecko regional managers visit facilities every 14 days), merchandise, retention strategies and ongoing webinars - all backing clubs being able to profit from their Gecko license.
With a 50:50 profit split, the Gecko Kids Fitness licence boosts the earning potential of the clubs and centres hosting the program - while they focus on the key areas of their business.
With the popularity of Gecko programs growing, Gecko Kids Fitness Managing Director Sam Wood explains "joining as a Gecko partner will increase your lead as an industry pioneer and provide an undeniable point of difference against fitness chains in your sector."
Wood (pictured) adds that Gecko programs will not only bring children into facilities but also their parents, each of whom is a potential clubs member.
In terms of growth, Wood adds "we are very selective with the clubs that we choose to partner with.
"We love working with big health clubs in family based locations and leisure centres with swim schools as they are such child friendly locations with space and atmosphere.
"We pay for everything - initially and ongoing. Clubs are never out of pocket."
The most recent club to introduce Gecko is Club Lime in Canberra, which began on 7th May, while 15 other facilities are set to launch the program before the end of the financial year.
