Free entry to mark openings of Mount Druitt and Riverstone Swimming Centres
Blacktown City Council’s two seasonal Swimming Centres at Mount Druitt and Riverstone will open for the summer season at 9am on Saturday 23rd September with free entry all day.
The season opening event offers swimmers and families the chance to relax in the pool and hours of fun on the pools’ inflatable fun.
With Sydney’s temperatures set to hit the mid 30s a visit to the pools has been described by Blacktown City Mayor Stephen Bali as the perfect start to the school holidays.
Mayor Bali explained “grab your swimmers and towel and get ready for another great summer season at Mount Druitt and Riverstone
“Mount Druitt and Riverstone Swimming Centres continue to be at the heart of their communities and we can’t wait for all the families to enjoy everything that these facilities have to offer.
“As we head into the summer season it’s also important to remember that being safe in and around the water is vital. Learning to swim is an essential life skills and one which should be taught from a young age.”
Aqua Zumba classes will also be running every Saturday at 9:30am at Mount Druitt Swimming Centre, starting from Saturday 30th September.
All classes are free with pool entry.
The Council’s learn to swim program, Aqua Learn to Swim, will run at both Centres during Term 4, 2017 which kicks off on Monday 9th October 2017.
