Mount Druitt Swimming Centre hosts Dive In movies through January
The Mount Druitt Swimming Centre in Western Sydney is being transformed into a floating movie theatre for Dive-In movies on Saturdays through January.
With screenings on the first four Saturdays in January, families will be able to enjoy recent blockbusters from the comfort of their very own pool inflatable or noodle. The blockbusters hitting the Mount Druitt screen have seen The Penguins of Madagascar show on Saturday 2nd January and will see Big Hero, Minions and Home showing on Saturdays 9th, 16th and 23rd January respectively.
Blacktown City Mayor Stephen Bali says that the Mount Druitt Swimming Centre has been at the heart of the community for four decades now and it’s through events like this that community spirit is further built.
Mayor Bali stated “what better way to enjoy the summer season than to cool off and enjoy a great family movie.
“The dive-in movie held earlier this year was a great success and we anticipate this year to be just as successful if not more.”
Gates open at 7pm for each showing with the movies starting at 8pm.
