Fluidra secures SPASA Victorian Gold award for innovative Carnegie Aquatic Centre project

The Fluidra Commercial team’s delivery of the innovative swimming pool movable floor for the Carnegie Aquatic Centre, saw Fluidra secure the SPASA Victorian Gold award in the commercial systems category.

The SPASA (Swimming Pool & Spa Association) Victoria Awards of Excellence for 2025 were held on 14th June and recognise outstanding achievements within the pool and spa industry in Victoria, encompassing areas such as construction, design, manufacturing, supply, retail, and service. Winners from the Victorian event will compete for the national SPASA Awards of Excellence.

Jeremy Smith, General Manager Fluidra Commercial Australia shared “I was privileged to accept on behalf of the team the Gold award for best commercial system at SPASA VIC's awards of excellence over the weekend.

“Congrats to the amazing Fluidra Commercial team, delivering this innovative project and taking out the Spasa VIC Gold award in commercial systems.

“Special shout to Ole Hoskinson for his vision and perseverance working with all stakeholders to create such a show piece of pool programming in a beautifully restored community aquatic space... Utilising the incredible technology developed by our supply partner AKVO SPIRALIFT.”

Carnegie Aquatic Centre now stands as a model for modern aquatic redevelopment, balancing innovation, sustainability, and community engagement. By integrating Fluidra Commercial’s state-of-the-art movable floor system, the pool seamlessly adapts to diverse user needs, maximising functionality for all ages and abilities.

This transformation has revitalised an ageing community asset into a future-proofed facility that will serve generations for the next 60 years and beyond.
