Fluidra Commercial introduces composite Endwall to pools in South East Queensland
Designed to enhance flexible use in commercial 25 and 50 metre pools, leading aquatic products manufacturer and supplier Fluidra Commercial has completed the installation of its first Composite Endwall at the Miami Aquatic Centre.
Installed for facility operator City Venue Management, the new Australian made Composite Endwall offers a convenient solution for overflow pools to bring them to competition standard and allow the staging of swim carnivals through to FINA standard events.
The lightweight, modular system is strong and corrosion free and includes features such as:
Recessed TrueTread non-slip surface
Water drainage channels
Finger grips
Non slip turning face
Custom colour options
Flush mount Nutcerts for timing pads
In-built timing cable conduit
Starting block mounts
Beyond this first installation, the composite Endwall will next be installed at the Pimpama Aquatic Centre and Noosa Aquatic Centre.
Commenting on the installation, City Venue Management Managing Director, Jay Clarke described the product as "fantastic". (I've asked him for more).
Users the Miami Swimming Club and Swimming GoldCoast have also been enthusiastic about what the Endwall offers, taking to social media to praise the installation for recent and upcoming competition events.
Swimming GoldCoast commented the “the brand new bulkhead and Omega starting blocks, replacing the older style fiberglass blocks … makes starts more stable and safer”, adding “swimmers will be starting with the newest setup in the world.”
Growing number of SwimWall installations
Another Fluidra product that allows flexibility in aquatic facility operations - the SwimWall - continues to record a growing number of installations.
With more than 50 SwimWalls now operational, the latest installations include Logan North Aquatic Centre and Moreton Bay College (both in Queensland) and Scotch College in Perth.
Design and manufacturing is also underway for upcoming installations at the Parramatta Aquatic Centre, North Sydney Aquatic Centre, Marist College, Terry Tysack Aquatic Centre in Western Australia and Ipswich Grammar School.
SwimWalls have also been exported to Singapore, the UK and USA.
Providing operational flexibility and enhanced revenue opportunities, SwimWall Systems™ technology is positioned on the pool floor when not in use, but, when filled with air, the SwimWall moves into a vertical position, forming a pool wall that is designed to fit around lane lines.
This system effectively doubles the number of lanes, while also offering the flexibility to have some swim lanes 50 metres in length, and others 25 metres.
The system also allows multiple and simultaneous uses, from learn-to-swim to water polo.
The Endwall and SwimWalls are available across Australia from Fluidra Commercial - Australia.
