Falls Creek extends winter season to 8th October

Having experienced what it calls “the best conditions in years”, Victorian ski resort Falls Creek has announced that it will be extending its 2017 season for a further week.

Advising that “we’ve got a base of over 150cm and with another 100cms expected in the next week” the resort will now remain open until the end of the Victorian and NSW school holidays, closing as of Sunday October 8th.

Falls Creek General Manager Sharon Raguse advised today “it’s just been exceptional this season.

“Looking around today on the 2nd September you’d think it was July school holidays with all the guests in the village and out on the hill, the place is absolutely buzzing.

“Once this next snow fall hits it will go to the next level, we will likely have a base well over 2 metres and fresh powder in September.”

Falls Creek is the first Victorian resort extending season.
