Etihad Stadium welcomes 40-millionth event patron
Claiming to be the world’s busiest multipurpose stadium, Etihad Stadium, welcomed its 40-millionth event patron through the gates on Friday 27th April, marking the occasion by gifting this visitor two tickets to Europe with Etihad Airways.
Coinciding with Round 6 of the AFL season, the 40-millionth fan was met by former Western Bulldogs Captain Bob Murphy and former Carlton player Andrew Walker.
Etihad Stadium Chief Executive Michael Green presented Leanne Earls from Ocean Grove with the Etihad Airways flights to Europe.
Green advised “we were so excited to meet our 40-millionth fan and gift them what will be the adventure of a lifetime in partnership with Etihad Airways.
“This is part of our ongoing dedication to improving the fan experience at Etihad Stadium as we explore more ways to offer our fans memorable experiences.”
The 40-millionth patron giveaway is just one of the many initiatives Etihad Stadium has implemented to celebrate its fans in 2018, recently launching its Free fruit for Kids campaign for April; a calendar of exclusive food and beverage deals available throughout the AFL season, and Garden Gate, a premier outdoor beer garden and food truck park at Gate Five of the stadium.
