Dubbo to host 2019 Regional Events Conference
Following a number of regional NSW destinations expressing their interest in hosting the event, Dubbo has been named as the host of the 2019 Regional Events Conference.
Announcing the location for the event, which will be held from 4th to 6th September, Conference organiser Belinda King advised “we are thrilled the 2019 Regional Events Conference will be held in Dubbo.
“This is the fourth year the conference has been held and the first time it is going to be in Central NSW which is really exciting”.
Regional event professionals from across the state will converge on the City between 4-6 September 2019.
Dubbo Regional Council Mayor, Councillor Ben Shields, was equally excited about the benefits the conference would bring to the region, adding “Council’s determination to support the conference was influenced, not only by the economic benefits that this event will inject into the local economy, but also by the fact that the spotlight will be placed on the region’s premier conference space, Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
“The Dubbo region’s capacity and capability of hosting high-quality conferences will be displayed to a highly engaged audience including influential event professionals”, he continued.
The Regional Events Conference allows event professionals, event stakeholders, event students and volunteers to have the opportunity to get together and hear from targeted and experienced presenters discussing issues and topics that directly affect the regional events industry.
The conference will showcase regional events from across Australia and also focus on risk management, event succession planning, partnerships, marketing and plenty more.
