Countdown to first Venue Safety and Security Exchange event

The Venue Safety and Security Exchange (VSX) 2023, Australia’s first event safety and security centric conference providing a platform for venue and event safety and security innovation, learning and networking, is just eight days away.

To be held at the Fullerton Hotel Sydney on Wednesday 12th July, VSX will see security and event leaders sharing knowledge on the ever-changing environment and emerging risks that events. Mass gathering and event faces.

Leading speakers, including event safety and security experts that have been involved in the planning and execution of some of the most notable local and international events, will address topics including:

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Counter Terrorism and Drone Technology

  • Crisis and Emergency Management

  • OSINT - Open Source Intelligence

  • Event Risk Assessment

  • Pre-event Sweeping for Explosives (K9)

  • Event Operations Centre (EOC)

  • Event Security Principles

Chaired by event security expert Eddie Idik of the Vital Protection Group and to opened by NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb, speakers will include:

  • Annalese Ryan, Security Risk and Resilience Manager at the Sydney Opera House

  • Adrian Slingsby, Senior Manager Risk - ASM Global/International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney)

  • Darren Horne, Head of Security & Safety at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

  • David Wright, founder, Dog Force Australia

  • Red Mcclintock, Director, DroneShield

  • Trish Charan, General Manager, Sydney Coliseum Theatre at West HQ
