Countdown to FILEX 2014 Convention

After 20 successful years in Sydney, the Australian Fitness Network's flagship event is heading to Melbourne.

Marking the biggest physical change in the event's history, the FILEX 2014 Convention will be held from 4th to 6th April 2014 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Organisers the Australian Fitness Network are currently offering early bird registrations to delegates, urging industry professionals "now is the time to plan and prepare to get the most out of your FILEX experience.

"With the most diverse convention program on offer, industry leading presenters and an abundance of networking opportunities, you are guaranteed to be spoilt for choice and walk away with the tools and knowledge to embrace change and make 2014 your best year yet!"

Introducing the conference theme, Network Chief Executive Ryan Hogan explains "taking inspiration from the great Nelson Mandela, this year's theme, 'Embracing Change', will encourage delegates to use education as the catalyst for moving from the old to the new and provide the tools to bring about real change in the lives of their clients, members and participants.

"With over 250 sessions covering all areas of fitness from personal training to lifestyle and exercise medicine delivered by the industry's thought leaders and renowned educators, FILEX delegates have access to the widest variety of topics covering the latest developments in fitness at the largest event in the southern hemisphere."

The event's 150-strong presenter faculty will deliver three days of lectures, practical workshops and master classes indoors, outdoors and in the swimming pool.

In addition, on Thursday 3rd April, there are five pre-convention workshops including Insights into Functional Training with Chuck Wolf, and Zumba Pro Skills with Steve Boedt.

Meanwhile, the FILEX Business and PT Summits on Thursday 3rd April and the Business and PT Breakfasts on Saturday 5th April, will offer unique development insights and networking opportunities for business owners, managers and personal trainers.

The event is co-located with the Australian Fitness and Health Expo.

Following their recent relaunch, Fitness First Australia is returning to a high profile industry role by becoming a Premium Sponsor of FILEX.
