Network hails Small Group Training Summit success

Close to 200 fitness professionals descended on the Melbourne Sport and Aquatic Centre for the Australian Fitness Network's recent Small Group Training Summit.

The boutique event provided the delegates with the chance to learn skills, drills and training techniques from some of the world's leading experts in the Small Group Training field.

Summit attendees had the choice of 15 sessions covering a wide variety of topics relating to Small Group Training as well as two feature sessions.

The event kicked off with the 'Throw-Down Show-Down'; the all-star presenter Bootcamp work out led by Jay Blahnik and the presenter faculty.

This feature session set the energetic tone for the event and gave delegates the opportunity to get up close and personal with the presenters as well as connect with their fellow delegates - all while working up a sweat.

With indoor, theory and outdoor sessions to choose from in each time slot, the Summit offered something for everyone in the Small Group Training field.

The best of the indoor sessions: 'ShockWave - The Ultimate Small Group Training Workout designs' with Jay Blahnik (which saw Blahnik introduce the new cross training system that is set to revitalize indoor rowing) and 'Metabolic Circuits for Maximal afterburn' with Network's Education Manager, Alisha

Smith proved to be crowd favourites with sessions filled to capacity.

Sponsored by PTBizCoach and hosted by Network Chief Executive Ryan Hogan, the Delegate Drinks reception was well earned after a hard day of learning and offered a unique informal opportunity for delegates to question industry experts.

The second day kicked off with a bang as delegates dived straight into further full sessionsof learning and inspiration. There were a variety of sessions to select from delivered by a range of presenters including Paul Taylor, Rob di Francesco, Nathan Quinn and Marietta Mehanni. The Small Group Training

Summit was wrapped up by industry favourite Blahnik, who presented the closing feature session, 'Strong Stretched and Centred the 10 minute stretch transformation' to a full house of delegates.

Following this success, the Australian Fitness Network has plans to stage similar events in the future.
