Adelaide's AFL Max offers themed indoor sport and activity experiences
A new indoor attraction, sited next to Adelaide Airport, is providing what the operators describe as "Australia's first AFL skills and family entertainment centre".
Opened in the June, AFL MAX is already proving popular with children, families, clubs, schools and groups, offering an exciting and immersive environment where they can have fun being active and learning while improving their sporting skills.
Featuring indoor rock-climbing walls, multiple trampolines, a virtual reality training space, an indoor AFL field, a bump course, giant slide and a climbing tower and soft play area for little ones, the facility also has a bar, café and stadium style seating surrounding the main playing arena.
Licensed and endorsed by the AFL, the indoor 5500 metre² family entertainment and training facility offers a range of training programs and childrens parties.
Developed by former Adelaide Crows and Geelong player, James Podsiadly together with co-founders Darren Thomas and Eddie Taylor, the facility was almost three years in the making and has been designed for whole of the community use where the common bond is a love of Australian rules football.
Roller software have provided the booking and access system for AFL MAX.
