Cutting edge summit for fitness businesses
With the FILEX fitness convention set to be the focus of Australia's fitness industry in the coming weeks, event host the Australian Fitness Network will again be hosting its pre-convention FILEX 2013 Business Summit.
To be held at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf, Pyrmont, NSW on Thursday 18th April, in advance of FILEX (being held from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st April at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre), the FILEX Business Summit aims to provide owners and managers with inspirational ideas and strategies, as well as the tools to overcome common obstacles, to ensure the long term fitness business success.
The Summit will start with Network Executive Director Nigel Champion delivering a snapshot of the state of Australia's fitness industry, to be followed by a selection of leading fitness business exports sharing their knowledge and experience.
Sessions will be delivered by:
• Entrepreneur Creel Price, providing insights from his book 'The One Thing to Win at the Game of Business' - an innovative methodology that is revolutionising how entrepreneurs develop their skills to succeed at business.
• Specialist US health club architect Rudy Fabiano who, in his session 'Designing to Sell' will tell delegates how their clubs can showcase what customers really want.
Using key factors that have been proven in retail and hospitality research, Fabiano will focus on how to design, organise and present clubs for increased sales, retention and customer satisfaction.
Rudy will track the hottest fitness trends and explain how to effectively design and present these programs in a retail-based environment to drive profits and expand market share.
• Author, Physiocise executive director and Today show 'Feel Good Physio', Anna-Louise Bouvier who will explain strategies for staff stability, communication, systems management, media opportunities and succession planning that have allowed her to achieve business success while creating a supportive, inspiring environment for her team of staff and colleagues.
After lunch, three of Australia's leading club operators have just 20 minutes each to share the most important business ideas and issues they face in their clubs, in the Business Summit Forum.
Forum speakers are Greg Oliver of Goodlife Health Clubs, Maria Albanese from North Adelaide Fitness Centre and Jacinta and Justin McDonell of Anytime Fitness.
Retention expert Paul Brown of Face2Face fitness who will wrap up the Summit by sharing the success secrets of the emerging fitness business models.
The Summit is sponsored by MyZone and Ezypay, co-sponsored by the Australian Institute of Fitness and supported by Fitness Australia.
