Countdown to 2023 South Australian Aquatics Conference and Awards
‘Healthier Workplaces. A Path to Success' is to be the theme of the upcoming 2023 South Australian Aquatics Conference and Awards for Excellence, being held at Adelaide’s St Clair Recreation Centre, The Y on Tuesday 26th September.
Organised by Life Saving SA/Surf Life Saving SA, guests and industry speakers will provide an insight into what has been happening the past 12 months in the aquatic industry in South Australia and around the country with the event providing a great opportunity to network with peers, colleagues, and industry counterparts.
In addition, after some constructive feedback from last year’s conference, it will also include an interactive workshop and a Q&A session.
Keynote guest speakers at the conference include:
Madi Wilson OAM (Olympic Gold Medal Swimmer)
John Mannion, Chief Executive, Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation and
Ryan Mitchell, Olympic Swimmer and Managing Director SynCoLab - which explores high performance with individuals, teams and organisations.
Organiser Stu Ferenci explains “we all have one common goal which is to work collaboratively together on industry issues and opportunities, water safety, drowning prevention, learning to swim and to provide safe aquatic facilities for our communities.”
Awards of Excellence
To be presented at a special breakfast event kickstarting the Conference, the awards mark the achievements of individuals and organisations making an outstanding contribution to the South Australian aquatic industry, showcasing the outstanding work of professionals who deliver enormous benefit to communities in promoting the benefits of water safety.
This will be an opportunity for delegates to be inspired by outstanding events, projects and high-performing individuals.
It will be opened by the Honourable Minister Katrine Hildyard.
Four awards will be presented:
Watch Around Water Award
This award celebrates the achievements of a dedicated facility that implements and innovates the Watch Around Water program better than any other pool in South Australia.
