Collective Wellness Group partners with Maddimax Group to expand Anytime Fitness operations in Western Australia

The Collective Wellness Group (CWG) has announced a direct investment in Western Australia through a joint venture with successful multi-site Anytime Fitness franchisee Wazz Millar of the Maddimax Group.

With CWG to provide financial investment, the Maddimax Group, under Millar's leadership will have full management and operational responsibility for the clubs, building a strong local team of club managers and staff.

CWG advise that Millar - who claimed Anytime Fitness’ 2024 Club of the Year award and is a proven, highly successful franchisee operating 13 clubs in NSW - “has expressed a strong interest in expanding his business interstate, and we believe his expertise and proven track record will be a major asset to the WA market.”

CWG added “with a commitment to people-centricity and delivering a premium brand experience, this approach has seen him grow from one club to a thriving network ... and growing.

“His success is a testament to his passion for Anytime Fitness and his ability to create high-performing teams.

“We are confident that Waz and his group will be a driving force in WA, strengthening our brand and supporting the network's long-term success.”

The transition has commenced with Maddimax Group taking over Anytime Fitness Murdoch as of last Tuesday (11th March), with two additional acquisitions in the coming months and two new clubs by the end of the year.

All existing club teams will retain their roles and receive new contracts with the Maddimax Group, ensuring a seamless transition.

CWG advise that the potential growth of the group is up to 15 clubs.
