City of Salisbury announces new community recreation management partners
The City of Salisbury have announced BlueFit and GreenSpace Management as their new community recreation management partners.
BlueFit, which transitioned into management of the Ingle Farm and Parafield Gardens Recreation Centres on 1st July, will also manage the new Salisbury Aquatic Centre, due for completion April 2024.
Welcoming the partnership, BlueFit SA State Manager, Joel Perricone advised "the transition has gone well, and despite the recreation sites having been established many years ago, they are as popular as ever with a range of tenant sports and community groups. Excitement is certainly building in the area as the new aquatic centre construction progresses."
BlueFit Chief Executive, Todd McHardy added "the challenges over recent years proved we needed to focus on working with the right local councils. This tender process was all about the City of Salisbury finding the right partners and we're delighted to be managing their sites so close to the established relationship we have built with the City of Playford."
GreenSpace Management now operates the Little Para Golf Course and Driving Range.
Plans for the site include the introduction of integration of technology on the driving range and a second Shanx Mini Golf facility in Adelaide following the success at Regency Park.
GreenSpace Managing Director, Peter Vlahandreas noted “we are thrilled to partner with the City of Salisbury at Little Para Golf Course and deliver a long term strategic plan for the facility that will engage our community through the creation of modern and entertainment focused golf experiences. We are confident that Little Para can be the blueprint for community focused, public access golf facilities throughout the nation.”
City of Salisbury Mayor, Gillian Aldridge thanked Belgravia Leisure for their management of the City’s recreation assets, commenting “the City of Salisbury is excited to partner with both BlueFit and GreenSpace in the delivery of high quality recreation options for our community.
“The construction of a new aquatic facility and exciting new golf assets at Little Para show our continued commitment to keeping the community connected and active. These facilities promote active living, health and wellbeing throughout the community and cater for people with a diverse range of needs and interests.”
