BlueFit and Lane 4 merge contract management operations

Community leisure facility management companies BlueFit and Lane 4 Aquatics have announced the completion of a merger of their businesses.

Completed last week, the merged group will operate under the BlueFit brand with an initial 20 facilities under management in NSW and Queensland.

The development follows recent restructuring of BlueFit’s board structure including the addition of ex-Bunnings Chief Executive John Gillam as Chair.

BlueFit founder and Chief Executive Todd McHardy explains "the decision to bring BlueFit and Lane 4 together was a result of mutual respect, a shared culture and commitment to our teams, plus a similar outlook on community-focussed leisure management.

“This is an exciting time as the two companies come together. It allows us to have a positive leisure based impact on more Australian communities and sets the base for further measured growth."

Lane 4 Aquatics founder and new BlueFit Chief Operations Officer Dan Mulvey adds "our passion to provide quality community leisure services across the nation is only enhanced by the merge of Lane 4 and BlueFit.

“The opportunity to come together with like-minded people to contribute to the development of an industry leading organisation is extremely exciting."

The new group have already secured a successful tender result on the management of the Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre, which it will manage from 1st July.
