BIG4 Airlie Cove Resort aquatic play area proves a popular attraction

Opened in May, the aquatic play area and waterslides at BIG4 Airlie Cove Resort and Caravan Park has proved a popular attraction for guests at the Whitsunday holiday park.

The launch of the new attraction saw Whitsunday Mayor, Jennifer Whitney, and other council and BIG4 officials don their bathers to take part in a unique ‘dunking dignitaries’ event  to officiate the water park’s opening.

The new facility sits alongside the Park’s already impressive resort-style pool, with new additions to suit all ages, including two water-pouring buckets, splash rings and three water slides.

Commenting on the success of the aquatic play area and waterslide, Park Manager Jody Langham explained “(this has) been a much anticipated feature and we look forward to inviting guests from near and far to come and enjoy endless hours of fun during their stay.”

BIG4 Airlie Cove Resort and Caravan Park offers a range of holiday accommodation in a natural environment, from villas and studio ensuites to lush powered sites for those wanting a full camping experience.

The park is conveniently located just past Airlie Beach and its setting along Lucas Creek is in a delightful, protected amphitheatre next to Conway National Park.

The Park is also the perfect base for guests to enjoy a Whitsunday or Great Barrier Reef getaway.
