Belmont Park Racecourse to host pop-up waterpark through summer

The upcoming summer season will see Perth’s Belmont Park Racecourse host Xscape at the City – a pop-up waterpark that promises a new level of fun for Western Australia.

Featuring a thrilling combination of waterslides, rides, and activities, the main attraction will be the tallest water slide of its kind in the world - a twin lane 23 metre high slide that’s 110 metre in length and almost 13 stories tall!

There’ll be rides and activities for kids of all ages and all level of thrill seekers.

The innovative attraction has been designed and commissioned by Amusement Leisure Consultants - whose Directors Douglas Campbell and Nasir David have been designing, procuring, constructing and operating successful leisure parks in Western Australia for the past 30 years.

The pair currently operate the Xscape at the Cape attraction in Dunsborough.

With the Town of Victoria Park having granted approval for Xscape at the City to operate at Belmont Park, the next step is to obtain approval from the Western Australian Planning Commission. Once obtained, the park will be ready to pop-up in November 2015 and operate until April 2016.

Town of Victoria Park Chief Executive Anthony Vuleta said his team was excited about Xscape at the City coming to town, stating “I think it will fit in well with our vibrancy.

"After enjoying the pop-up water park I invite visitors to spend some time in the Town discovering our wonderful parks, foreshore, places to eat and great shopping options.”
