Belgravia Leisure to manage Renmark Recreation and Swimming Centres

Belgravia Leisure has been appointed by Renmark Paringa Council to manage the Renmark Recreation Centre and Renmark Swimming Centre.

Part of the new agreement will see the Renmark Recreation Centre renamed as the Alan Coulter Recreation Centre in recognition of over 36 years contribution to the Renmark Paringa community and development of the Renmark Recreation Centre.

The recreation centre features an indoor two-court basketball stadium and spectator gallery, up to five squash courts and a health and fitness room, and the swimming centre features an eight-lane, 50-metre outdoor pool.

Committing to meeting the recreational needs of the local community, Belgravia Leisure Chief Executive Nick Cox stated “we look forward to working closely and sensitively with the Council and the local community throughout the transition.”

Belgravia Leisure currently manages 11 South Australian leisure centres, including The Rex Barossa Aquatic and Fitness Centre, Copper Coast Sports and Leisure Centre in Kadina and Ingle Farm Recreation Centre.

Cox added “this is an exciting opportunity for Belgravia Leisure. It adds to our continued commitment to enhance customer experiences and improve operation efficiencies for Australian communities.

“The Alan Coulter Recreation Centre and Renmark Swimming Centre are key community assets providing quality social programs and services through activity hubs across the Riverland.”

Belgravia Leisure will commence management on 10 October for three years, with first rights for a further three plus three years. It will be business as usual with both facilities as the management transition occurs.

The Renmark Swimming Centre is scheduled to open on 23rd October.
