Belgravia Leisure renews its management of Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre
Belgravia Leisure has successfully retendered for the management of Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre on behalf of Cumberland City Council for a minimum of three years.
Belgravia Leisure commenced their relationship with Cumberland City Council in early 2017, the same year Auburn Ruth Everuss was redeveloped.
Scott Vanderheyden, Belgravia Leisure South West NSW Area Manager advised "we are extremely proud of our strong ongoing relationship with Cumberland City Council and to continue managing Auburn Ruth Everuss. Which is the only externally operated aquatic venue in the Local Government Area (LGA).”
Belgravia Leisure has had a strong community presence over the past five years at Auburn Ruth Everuss with many awards for their CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) and community swimming programs.
Liz Stranix, Venue Manager at Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre notes “throughout my short time at Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre we have been awarded the 2020 AUSTSWIM State and National Swim School of The Year Award, the 2021 Zest Award for Exceptional Community Partnership and the 2021 Belgravia Leisure Inclusive Program Award.
“Most recently we were awarded the 2021/2022 AUSTSWIM Most Outstanding Contribution to TSW (Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety) Through Inclusion Award. This year we also received a five-star safety score of 100% and an overall score of 99% in our Aquatic Facility Safety Assessment (AFSA) from Royal Life Saving NSW.”
Stranix said a personal highlight has also been completing a successful transition into Wentworthville Memorial Swimming Centre, also managed by Belgravia Leisure on behalf of Cumberland City Council.
Vanderheyden added “we are really excited to be able to continue our great relationship with Cumberland City Council by managing Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre and continue to have a massive impact on the Cumberland community.”
