Belgravia Leisure appoints new Centre Manager at WaterMarc Banyule

Leading facilities management contractor Belgravia Leisure has appointed Kris Miller as Centre Manager of WaterMarc, Banyule City Council’s landmark aquatic and recreation facility in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

Miller returns to Belgravia Leisure after seven years at the City of Monash as Leisure Manager, and Manager of Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC) and Clayton Aquatic Centre.

At Belgravia Leisure, Miller was formerly an Area Manager with five contracts in his portfolio, as well as Centre Manager of Melton Waves Leisure Centre and Windy Hill Fitness Centre.

She joins the team at a critical stage as WaterMarc prepares to launch its expanded health club, which forms part of the major redevelopment that also includes Banyule City Council’s new offices, commercial office leasing opportunities and community facilities.

From January, Miller will leverage his extensive experience in managing large commercial and community focused leisure facilities to partner with Banyule City Council to deliver innovative, sustainable and accessible leisure services to the local community.

WaterMarc Banyule attracts more than 800,000 visitors each year, with attendance forecast for significant growth after the completion of One Flintoff, Banyule City Council’s $31 million redevelopment.

In August, the Victorian Coroner found that the 2014 drowning of an Indian student at the pool was avoidable, criticising lifeguarding regulations for public swimming pools in Victoria

Belgravia Leisure is part of Australian company, Belgravia Group, which also owns Genesis Fitness Clubs and Corporate Health Management (CHM).
