AUSTSWIM launches courses to meet demand for aquatic fitness instructors

AUSTSWIM, the national organisation for the teaching of swimming and water safety has announced a new course to meet the demand for aqua exercise instructors.

Set to run at six locations across the country in June and July, the AUSTSWIM Exercise Instructor Course Australia is described as being nationally recognised, industry-trusted and water-ready.

The course is recognised and registered with AUSactive and provides successful candidates with 20 CECs.

Locations

  • South Australia - 7th and 8th June - Scotch College Purruna Spencer Newton Centre, Torrens Park

  • Western Australia - 21st and 22nd June - University of Western Australia, Crawley

  • Victoria - 21st and 22nd June - Norlane ARC

  • Queensland - 21st and 22nd June - Maryborough Aquatic Centre, Maryborough

  • Queensland - 28th and 29th June - Logan North Aquatic Centre, Underwood

  • NSW - 19th and 20th July - Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre, Marrickville

AUSTSWIM 2025 Awards of Excellence
AUSTSWIM is also inviting nominations for its 2025 Awards of Excellence.

What started as three national award categories in 2004 has now grown to 20 covering the AUSTSWIM community on a state, national and international level. The Awards acknowledge individuals and swim schools for their contribution to aquatic education and water safety through leadership, innovation, and community spirit - helping teachers and communities to save lives.

Entries close on 9th June.
