AUSTSWIM conference to present top examples of aquatic fitness

WETS Aqua master trainers will take to the stage to share their knowledge and experience in this increasingly popular fitness regime at the AUSTSWIM National Conference and Aquasummit in September on the Gold Coast.

The conference will bring together a raft of high class motivators and presenters to inspire, challenge and educate those in the aquatic industry.

WETS master trainer Christine Naysmith will join AUSTSWIM presenter Lyn O’Brien for the ‘Swim and Aqua Exchange’ session, highlighting the close relationship between aqua moves and teaching swimming and water safety.

In a follow-up masterclass Naysmith and a team of WETS master trainers will share creative activities and exercises for engaging aqua sessions. It’s a pool session perfect for experienced aqua instructors and those curious about what the AUSTSWIM WETS skills set looks like.

Naysmith, who came to Australia from Scotland in 2010, presents the AUSTSWIM WETS Instructor Course across Australia and New Zealand and works on course development. Her love of aqua combined with her teaching and drama skills shine through in an inspirational passion for her work. Naysmith will join an unrivalled program of speakers, activities and events that promises the Soak It Up conference will be the pinnacle event for swimming and water safety education in Australia this year.

AUSTSWIM Chief Executive Jennifer Schembri-Portelli said the conference was a fantastic opportunity for delegates to feed their creativity and add to their knowledge bank, stating “this is a great chance for Aqua Instructors, Teachers, presenters and swim centre owners and managers to get together and enjoy a smorgasbord of quality personal and professional development offerings.”

The conference, culminating with the National Awards presentation dinner, is on at the Twin Towns Club and Resort, Tweed Heads on 27th and 28th September.

Registrations close on Wednesday 20th September.
