Australasian Leisure Management recognises AUSTSWIM as top national organisation in Communication and Marketing Awards
AUSTSWIM’s consistent high quality communications on all its activities relating to the teaching of swimming and water safety have been recognised in the 2018 Australasian Leisure Management Communication and Marketing Awards.
Australia’s national body for the teaching of swimming and water safety, which is also active in New Zealand, is to be presented with National Organisation Award in the third year of Australasian Leisure Management’s initiative to acknowledge communication and marketing excellence across all sectors of the leisure industry - aquatics, attractions, entertainment, events, fitness, parks, recreation, sport, tourism and venues.
The AUSTSWIM accreditation is the industry standard for Swimming and Water Safety Teachers and is delivered and recognised in each state and territory of Australia and many countries overseas. There are currently over 33,500 AUSTSWIM Teachers in Australia and internationally with over 10,000 licensed in teaching specific programs such as infants, people with a disability and adults.
The Award recognises AUSTSWIM’s excellence in communicating its educational initiatives and wide water safety messages.
Recognising these achievements, Australasian Leisure Management Publisher Nigel Benton explained “AUSTSWIM does a remarkable job in communicating and marketing its accreditation and activities as well as in the wider area of water safety.
“Given AUSTSWIM so often awards and recognises others it’s nice that it can be awarded for its activities.”
AUSTSWIM’s win came as a result of a nomination by a third party.
Netball Australia and Tennis Australia have been the previous recipients of this award.
