ARV reveals 2025 Regional Conference dates and Victorian Government budget submission
Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV) has announced that its 2025 Regional Conference will be held at Bendigo's All Seasons Resort Hotel on 21st May.
Part of a series of ARV events over the coming months, the Conference brings together our industry leaders and green workforce from local government, aquatic and recreation facilities, product suppliers, service providers, consultancies, institutes of learning and state government departments to discuss building a sustainable future for the industry.
ARV will also be staging its annual industry awards of Friday 13th June at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and its annual state conference, again being staged with Life Saving Victoria (LSV), from 17th to 19th September.
State Budget Submission
With the Victorian 2025/26 budget approaching, ARV has shared its budget submission, in which it asks for:
Continuation of the Regional Infrastructure Grants program
Continuation of Get Active Kids vouchers for 2025/26 and 2026/27 years
Support for a second Victorian aquatics and recreation industry workforce creation, development and employee attraction incentives program
Support for improved environmental sustainability of Victorian aquatic and recreation facilities i.e. Victorian industry ESD grants program
The submission has been sent to a number of Victorian Government minsters including the Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence; Minister for Climate Action, Energy, Resources and the State Electricity Commission Lily D’Ambrosio; and Minister for Small Business and Employment, Youth and Veterans Natalie Suleyman.
