ARV and Centaman bring learn to swim to the web
As part of an overhaul of its information technology systems, Aquatics & Recreation Victoria (ARV) have entered a long term strategic agreement with Centaman for the provision of a fully integrated system to manage all of ARV's Learn to Swim, Course Bookings, CRM, Membership, Retail Store and online requirements.
The new system being implemented by Centaman throughout the second half of 2009 will allow ARV to efficiently handle all of its booking requirements for Learn to Swim programs at venues across Victoria as well as conference bookings, online shopping, payments and more. The CENTAMAN system replaces a variety of in house applications and spreadsheets.
The Centaman Swim School program went live in early October. The new online Swim School Program allows customers to easily enrol children in the right Swim School program with an advanced search engine that lets parents and guardians search by date, venue/location and/or class type to find exactly the right class from over 4,000 possible combinations. ARV expects more than 3,000 families to enrol online through the new website.
The ability to use the web provides an easy self service mechanism for people to enrol and pay for VICSWIM Programs online right across the state and significantly reduces delays and the associated administrative issues caused by the large number of people booking by phone at enrolment time. Using
Centaman's industry leading web framework ensured a quick deployment onto ARVâs newly redesigned website in time for the new term.
Mark Iles, Chief Executive of Centaman Systems, explains, "our fully integrated leisure management system enables ARV to provide its customers with fast and effective online access to bookings for events, learn to swim programs, merchandise and more."
Ian Swan, Chief Executive Aquatics & Recreation Victoria, adds that "the team at Centaman have helped us provide a really effective web solution for our customers within a very tight timeline.
"The solution is proving extremely effective at helping reduce the administrative burden that naturally occurs at the beginning of a new term or event and has proved easy to use."
