Aquatics and Recreation Victoria names new Chief Executive
The Board of Directors of Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV) have announced the appointment of Anthony McIntosh as its new Chief Executive.
McIntosh is currently a freelance executive working with sport, recreation, tourism and events sectors while also serving as Business Manager for the Australian Camps Association.
Not to be confused with his namesake at Belgravia Leisure, ARV’s McIntosh has previously worked as Chief Executive of Tourism Alliance Victoria and the Victorian Tourism Industry Council, the peak body for tourism in Victoria.
He has significant professional, voluntary and personal experience in the not-for-profit sector as well as the corporate sector, local government, state government agencies and universities.
Previously McIntosh worked with the City of Melbourne on the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games and also as a Program Manager with Tourism Melbourne. He has a four year professional association with camping and outdoor activity providers sector, inclusive of running camps for children with a disability.
McIntosh is the Chair of Cycling Victoria's Track Cycling Commission, setting out the strategic future for that sport, is the current Chair of Judges for Victorian Tourism Awards and is a Masters level track cyclist with Northcote Cycling Club.
The ARV is looking forward to his contribution and leadership and the development of the thriving industry here in Victoria.
He will commence with ARV in early July, replacing the outgoing Ian Swan.
