Closing date looms for Victorian Aquatic and Recreation Awards

Tickets are now on sale for Aquatics and Recreation Victoria's annual Awards Gala Evening, to be held on Friday 13th June 2014, with Award nominations closing this Friday (18th April).

Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV) is currently reminding potential entrants that there is still time to finalise a submission for a person, program or facility that deserves recognition.

Nominations need not just come from management - colleagues and friends can nominate with judges looking for succinct responses that specifically address the award criteria.

Tickets for the ARV Industry Awards Gala Evening on Friday 13th June 2014 are also now on sale. The event, dubbed the 'Friday the 13th Ball' will be held at Peninsula, Docklands.

ARV has also confirmed that its annual Industry Conference will be held on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th August at Melbourne and Olympic Parks and that the event will incorporate two distinct streams focusing on both strategic and operational topics around the  theme of ‘Doing it Better’.

The conference will also feature an extensive space for exhibitors that will complement the conference theme.

In addition, ARV will host ‘The Melbourne Tour’ of selected community aquatic and recreation facilities that will showcase the range of centres that have been recently constructed in and around Melbourne on Wednesday 27 August. This element of professional development will be an invaluable adjunct to the conference proper where delegates can hear first hand from professionals involved in these projects. Tickets for this tour will be limited.

The program, including keynote speakers, is currently being finalised and will be released shortly.
