Apt apps for the fitness industry

‘Do it all’ online applications that manage everything from client communication to your product ordering and marketing are making a strong appearance at this year’s Australian Fitness & Health Expo.

Matt Harris, who launched PT Essentials in 2012, allowing trainers to communicate with clients about training goals and appointments via an iphone app, said there are not many trainers who long to be sitting in front of a computer, updating spreadsheets, contact lists, tracking potential leads in one application and managing client goals in another.

Harris explained “the benefits of being able to offer clients additional high tech perks, like receiving exercise plans electronically if they happen to miss a session, is a great selling point for trainers and fitness centres.”

Since launching in 2012, PT Essentials has received investment from Blue Chilli Venture Technologies, Australia’s largest technology incubator, the NSW Government and has formed strong partnerships in the fitness industry.

The business will now unveil its Version 2.0 of PT Essentials at the 2014 Australian Fitness & Health Expo.

This version will feature new developments including:

• Automatic lead generation captured from a website directly into the app

• Ability to email session client conformations with PDF workout cards attached

• A well thought out exercise library of over 100 exercises with clean illustrated exercise examples

• A trainers’ dashboard to see upcoming important events

• Redesigned PDF client reports with all the vital stats to show progress

• Before and after image tracking

Another online management tool making its first appearance at the Expo is One Fit Stop. This business building tool allows trainers to create a personal profile, advertise their services with locally targeted adverts, write articles, manage client payments with real time and direct debiting options, create programs, invoice clients, purchase wholesale priced products and plan their calendar.

PT Minder are also exhibiting at the Expo. Click here for more information.

The Australian Fitness & Health Expo is being held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 4th to 6th April.
