Inflatable waterpark opens on Bathurst’s Chifley Dam

A new inflatable waterpark, the Bathurst Aqua Park, has opened on NSW’s Chifley Dam.

The largest inflatable aquatic playground in NSW, the attraction will operate seasonally, open Thursday to Sunday every week between 1st November and 31st March with operations extending to seven days a week during the school holidays that fall in this period.

Open to people aged four years and up, owner Michael Hickey requires that children under 12 must be supervised.

The attraction is also open for birthday parties and school groups.

It also has a kiosk where first aid equipment, including a spine board and defibrillator, is kept for anyone in the vicinity.

Park designer Mick Neville, who owns two aqua parks on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, was hired by Hickey to help set up the venue.

A team of 30 staff members have been hired to operate the attraction.
