Lake Mulwala attraction wins in Adventure Tourism category at Riverina Murray Regional Tourism Awards
The Aquazone@LakeMulwala inflatable waterpark has been presented with the Adventure Tourism category award at the 2018 Riverina Murray Regional Tourism Awards.
Opened in late 2016, 50 metre² Wibit Sports adventure park has proved to be a popular seasonal attraction at its location at Yarrawonga on the Victoria/NSW border.
Writing on Facebook after receiving the Award, Aquazone@LakeMulwala Managing Director Deb North stated “this is for all our supporters, shareholders stakeholders, partners, friends, our dynamic team, and my family with out each of you and your support this would not be possible.”
Presented last weekend in Deniliquin, the Riverina Murray Regional Tourism Awards recognised leading regional tourism businesses, events, and visitor experiences from both NSW and Victoria were recognised at the 2018 Riverina Murray Regional Tourism Awards in Deniliquin last night.
Winners in 14 categories were announced at the Awards ceremony attended by more than 130 industry representatives were in attendance to see who would take home the coveted awards.
In association with the Awards event, Destination Riverina Murray had earlier partnered with Murray Regional Tourism to host the inaugural Riverina Murray Tourism Muster.
A networking and business development day, it saw over 40 of the region’s tourism operators and event organisers engage in sessions with experts on topics including destination marketing, event risk management, and social media marketing.
