Aligned Leisure names Eurobodalla Arts and Leisure Manager

Facility operator Aligned Leisure has named community leader Chris Tague as Eurobodalla Arts and Leisure Manager - a newly created position that will oversee its operations in Eurobodalla, including the new Bay Pavilions facility, the Moruya War Memorial Pool and the Narooma Swimming Centre.

Advising that Tague has an in-depth background in community recreation, people leadership and project management, Aligned Leisure’s Group Operations Manager, Simon Bryson stated “Chris is a community-focused leader who already has strong connections and well-established relationships across the Shire.

“His passion for the Bay Pavilions as well as his intimate knowledge of the community saw Chris succeed in a fiercely contested field of applicants from across Australia”.

Tague has been involved in developing the Bay Pavilions from its inception as a subject matter expert and is currently the construction project coordinator.

Explaining that he is excited to be finalising the construction phase and commence in his new role, Tague commented “I am honoured to bring to life the vision for the Bay Pavilion precinct and look forward to connecting the community to these wonderful facilities.

“Aquatic, art, fitness and leisure services bring people together, and I am passionate about improving the lives of Eurobodalla residents throughout the Shire”.

Tague (pictured) will complete his project role with Eurobodalla Shire Council and transition into the Arts and Leisure Manager position from May 2022.

Bryson will continue to lead the project until Tague commences.

Aligned Leisure is currently finalising the appointment of a leadership team from the local and surrounding community.

Recruitment for all other roles will commence in January 2022.
