AALARA releases 2023 conference program

The Australian Amusement, Leisure and Recreation Association (AALARA) has released the outline program for its 2023 Conference - being held at Sofitel Broadbeach on the Gold Coast from 8th to 11th May.

With 15 conference sessions over three days backed by three social networking functions, the conference will address key issues in the attractions industry. With the theme ‘Building. Branding. Business.’ it will include a range of keynote speakers, performer panels and information sessions.

With AALARA having been working to establish a Discretionary Mutual Fund (DMF) for the industry over the recent past, a progress update on its bid to establish a long term insurance solution is likely to feature on the program.

Before Christmas, AALARA Inc General Manager, Kristy Ahrens wrote to members advising “working directly with Austrade, Treasury and the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, AALARA are optimistic that the long road to the industry's DMF has turned a corner and moving in the right direction.”

The anticipated release of second report into the insurance crisis facing Australia’s amusement, attractions and entertainment industry by ASBFEO Bruce Billson is also likely to feature among debates at the conference.
