HIB Insurance Brokers able to offer cover for amusement, entertainment and tourism businesses

In a development set to have a massive impact on the current insurance challenges that businesses across many parts of the leisure industry have been facing, HIB Insurance Brokers have announced that it has access to a liability facility via Coversure Underwriting Agency.

Explaining that this facility has been designed for the amusement, attractions, entertainment, events, recreation and tourism industry, HIB Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd Managing Director, Mick Alexander advised “this facility may not be a fit for everyone, and each business will be evaluated on its own merit.”

Explaining that cover for individual businesses will be dependent on their risk management protocols, staff training and training registers and daily safety check lists, as well as features that, while not being mandatory, are increasingly desirable such a digital risk management systems and the addition of cameras at key operational points such as on rides, Alexander noted “risk mitigation and evidence of the same forms a significant part of the application process.”

He went on to say “the commitment to these cornerstones of business is designed to not only produce better insurance outcomes but is strongly focused on commitment to public safety and public confidence in participating in the amusement, leisure and entertainment industries.”
