Y Australia names Alexandra Ash as interim Chief Executive

The Y Australia has announced the appointment of Alexandra Ash as its interim Chief Executive, replacing former postholder Tal Karp who left the body in February.

Ash, who was recently named as APAC Chair at Industry data platform ActiveXchange, was most recently Chief Executive at Gymnastics Australia.

Also President of the Royal Life Saving Society - Australia, her extensive industry experience also includes executive role at the YMCA Victoria and Western Leisure Services.

In an announcement, the Y advised “she brings us a wealth of experience from across the community sector, children’s services, recreation and aquatics.

“Alex started her career at the Y so we are especially excited to have one of our own join us to lead the next chapter, working in close partnership with our Y associations across the country.”
