World’s largest inflatable theme park continues tour of Australian cities
The world's biggest touring inflatable jumping castle attraction, the Big Bounce, is continuing its 2022 tour of Australia, currently operating at Oriole Park in the Western Sydney suburb of Auburn on the next two weekends - 19th and 20th March and 26th and 27th March.
Having already operated in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra since the beginning of January and set to return to each of those cities along with openings in North Sydney, Newcastle and Perth before the middle of the year, Big Bounce, recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest inflatable attraction, features giant slides, climbing towers, obstacle runs, basketball hoops and ball pits across a 1.5 hectare site.
Aimed at children, but also featuring adults-only sessions, Big Bounce is this year debuting Sport Slam - a customised sports arena filled with goals, nets, hoops and balls as well as zones for wall climbing and a ‘battle zone’.
Alongside this, the centrepiece is a 300 metre long inflatable obstacle course and four part themed wonderland along with an ‘air-filled palace’ where a DJ and MC get the energy pumping with games and dance competitions.
AirSpace is another attraction with three ball pits, a climbing feature, an 18 metre-high maze and a colossal five-lane slippery slide.
Big Bounce founders Cameron Craig and Grahame Ferguson hatched the idea while working together at a music festival in the UK.
After seeing parents watch their children relish the fun jumping and bouncing, the pair decided to upsize their jumping castles for parents to play on with their youngsters.
They started hosting just events in 2017 and hosting over 70 events around the world, brought the attraction to Australia in 2019
Commenting on Bounce Australia’s popularity, Craig advised “we’ve created a crazy inflatable landscape filled with some of the most amazing, completely customised attractions you’ll have ever seen.
“This event is all about having fun, so we wanted to bring it to the people who live in one of the most fun places on earth.”
Mindful of safety issues, Big Bounce operate to the highest standards, stating “the safety of our customers and staff comes first and in the case of thunderstorms, heavy rain, strong winds or other adverse weather conditions that would pose a risk, we reserve the right to postpone, reschedule, cancel or alter elements of the event or individual sessions.”
