New solution to fix tears on inflatable play equipment

With demand for inflatable play equipment and events - indoors, outdoors and on the water - increasing each year, operators are continually seeking to reduce downtime caused by the need for repairs.

Offering a solution for tears in bounce houses, jumping castles, inflatable slides, obstacle courses and related amusement devices, start up company Fixmytear has launched an innovative tape for vinyl repairs at difficult times.

Founded by Bubbling With Energy Entertainment Chief Executive, Mark Rubiolo, the new company’s product was created to repair his own fleet of 150 mobile inflatables.

Rubiolo explains "our hire company needed a quick fix for vinyl tears and hence we developed fixmytear."

Enabling repairs to inflatables to be made quickly and in a cost efficient manner, Fixmytear is a multipurpose repair tape made from thermoplastic polyurethane, which has extremely high tensile strength, flexibility and abrasion resistance. The layer of glue adhesive is activated when pressure is applied, forming a reliable cohesion between surfaces.

Fixmytear can repair tears on a number of vinyl surfaces and vinyl coated products including non-commercial leisure products such as truck curtains, sails, kite surfing equipment, rubber waders, pool linings and tents.
